Improving conversion, mobile usability, and clarity across key user flows

Site Improvements | Brand Refresh | Collateral

Goal: Adecco Staffing’s career site served both job seekers and employers—but the site was fragmented, outdated, and difficult to navigate. Key conversion points like mobile application and job search weren’t performing, and content was buried under unclear design patterns.

Our goal was to audit the site experience, identify friction in the user journey, and suggest improvements to boost both usability and lead quality.

My Role: As the lead UI/UX designer on these projects, I performed an audit of a collection of user flows and presented suggestions on improvement. To improve the experience, we focused on: simplifying the application flow, clarifying dual audience journeys, and refreshing print and digital collateral.

Improving The Sign Up Process

Adecco Staffing was looking to promote their training program, Adecco Academy. The sign-up experience was one of the most high-impact areas for optimization. We reorganized the application steps and elevated trust signals to reduce drop-off and confusion especially on mobile.

Mobile Apply

In order to decrease the rate of candidates dropping off mid-way through the apply process, I walked through our user flows on mobile and provided multiple recommendations on how it could be improved.

Improvements Included:

• A sticky nav at the bottom of job description pages, so the ability to apply was always in the user’s reach

• Multiple improvements to the sign-up/sign in process

• Information of what is required when creating a password to prevent user error rather than providing the information after a user error

Addressing Both Employers and Job Seekers

The original site design was created in Photoshop years prior, making it difficult to update and keep consistent. For efficiency, components were recreated and pages were redesigned for a more intuitive user flow.

For example, on the industry-specific pages, rather than having Employers to scroll half way down the page before finding relevant information to them, we created a toggle at the top of the page for ease of use.

Site Improvement Results

  • Streamlined Authentication Process

  • Design System Modernization & Increased Efficiency

  • Improved User Flow & Site Architecture

Refreshed Collateral

To support broader outreach, we also redesigned Adecco’s print assets, including event flyers and salary guides, to better reflect the updated brand tone and data-informed approach.

Salary Guide

Adecco Staffing’s most prized collateral every year is the salary guide, which depicts trends and ranges of hundreds of job titles in multiple industries. The salary guide is available in both print and digital format. The 2020 salary guide includes an interactive table of contents for ease of use when searching for a specific industry.

Print Collateral

We designed a modular print system that used large-scale imagery, brand color blocking, and flexible content templates, elevating the brand’s presence while supporting diverse formats like job fair handouts, one-pagers, and pitch decks.
